So the Microsoft Edcuator Exchange is coming closer and closer and my preparations are not finsished yet, but I put some effort in being „fully equipped“ for this „one-of-a-kind“ journey. As I am traveling earlier to Seattle to do some sightseeing and hoping to get a beautiful pic from the Space Needle, I am staying for over a week in the USA.
As a Geek – yes I am proud to be one – I surely „depend“ on lots of technical things when I am on the road. So this time I have packed my bag with lots of stuff:
Surface Pro 3
No way, that I will go without my fellow companion!
Dell Venue 8 Pro
I am falling in love more an more with this 89€ (!) full Windows 8.1 tablet. Easy for games, movies, music, surfing,…
I will not use this for phone calls as the roaming is pretty expensive, but my music, maps and OneNotes are easily accessible there. AND of course it is my Nr. 1 Photo-Camera!
To keep my gadgets alive I need power. With this 15000 mAh I can reload my Phone and Dell tablet easily via Micro-USB
Anker AstroMini PowerPack
Another, smaller (3200 mAh) one, for the daily use, really small and fits into every pocketonly
ONE power supply
As my Surface Pro Power supply/charger as an extra USB Port I can charge every gadget from above with it!
I really like the trackpad on the SP3-Type-Cover, but in Desktop mode I prefer a mouse
Just do be sure to be able to connect to every projector when miracast is not available
What else would you suggest to put into my travellers bag?
As I posted on Facebook before I also created some t-shirts for my upcoming OneNote-workshops here in Austria, but I will sure take them with me to Redmond and maybe I can get some autographs on it… I am also taking some other small goodies with me I recently received from http://www.austria.info, the official Austrian tourist office. Many thanks to these gifts, I highly appreciate the generosity!
There are another small things I will take with me, but I won’t reveal too much by now, but I made some very special gifts for special friends. So anybody who meet me at the Educator Exchange, feel free to ask for a small „present“. 😉
